Here’s how I use Fences. Each person may use it differently.  I still use a dock (not pictured here) but for my “main” stuff I keep it handy at the bottom.  Then I organize my stuff by throwing them into a Fence.  One of the killer features of Fences is that you can toss a ton of stuff in a Fence and it’ll get hidden. Look closely at the “To Sort later…”. If I mouse over the Fence, a scrollbar appears.

Double click and voila. Clean desktop.
