Stardock has released WindowBlinds 4.4 onto Object Desktop. It's a pretty big step up from WindowBlinds 4.3 as being the most significant performance increase in visual style handling in years.

Things keep getting worse and worse for CBS as the evidence mounts that the memos they used to try to make George W. Bush look bad were simply cranked out on MS Word using its default settings rather than in 1973.

The denials from the left are really almost..sad at this point. Can you imagine if criminal investigations were this partisan? "You can't trust that finger print, sure it matches exactly but if you can't prove that someone else in the world doesn't have that same finger print you must acquit!"

Sometimes I ask, rhetorically, what is the right-wing equivalent to Democratic Underground? The far left of the US population seems to be foaming in angst and hatred that I find quite disturbing.

I surf the web a great deal and there are no right wing sites of anywhere near the scale of DU that top this sort of thing in virtriol and hatred. 

At this points, anyone even remotely interested in this story who is on-line has seen the compelling evidence that the memos CBS used to prove that Bush was getting special treatment in the National Guard were in fact forged.

Here's an animated GIF from LGF that shows the CBS received memo vs. a 2004 Windows XP MS Word document with all the default settings.  The evidence is pretty conclusive. You can't even get this close using a different word processor let alone using a type writer (regardless of what imagined abilities of some magical type writer from 1973, it still wouldn't look this exact).

The question is, how long will CBS stick to its guns when it's obvious the documents are a hoax?

Been hearing a lot of Cheney's "outrageous" statement about making wrong choices and terrorist attacks? That's because he's not just being quoted out of context but actually having a sentence cut off.

Here is how the sound bite runs:

Because if we make the wrong choice, then the danger is that we’ll get hit again, that we’ll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States.

Big problem with that quote - it's incomplete. There should be no period after "Standpoint of the United States"

Here is the actual quote:

"Because if we make the wrong choice, then the danger is that we’ll get hit again, that we’ll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States, and that we’ll fall back into the pre-9/11 mind set if you will, that in fact these terrorist attacks are just criminal acts, and that we’re not really at war. I think that would be a terrible mistake for us. "

Changes the meaning quite a bit doesn't it? Notice that the sound bites cut him off as to make it sound like Cheney is saying that the "wrong choice" would mean an attack.

But that's not what he said. He said that if we make the wrong choice and we get attacked that we might go back and treat terrorism like a law enforcement issue like the Clinton administration did.

It's really amazing that the media would do this kind of distortion. But then again, given the CBS news hoax, who knows what's possible.

Imagine the uproar there would have been if FoxNews ran with a story about say John Kerry having actually been reprimanded for cowardice in Vietnam based on "newly surfaced" 35 year old documents?

Imagine if it turned out those documents were forgeries?  Imagine if the forgeries were so obvious that even non-experts could tell they were fakes just with a casual glance?

I think we all know what the reaction FoxNews would get.
